So Be It |
Day 11 of 50Jonah was in trouble. Having run away from God, he found himself on a ship in the midst of a terrible storm. The waves were crashing around him and the others on board. He decides to sacrifice himself to God in order to save those with him. Jonah is thrown in the sea, where a giant fish swallows him whole. This is where Jonah prays and turns to God for help.We aren’t much different than Jonah are we? It is often not until we reach the deepest, darkest moments in life that we cry for help. The good news is that no matter where you are or how far gone you may be, if you will call out to God, He will hear and He will listen. Wherever you are, He is able to reach you. Stop running and call out to God today. Dear God, I have come to the end of myself, and I need you. I need you to rescue me. Right now, I stop running from you and turn into your embrace. Hear my cry. Hold me now. Pull me out of this pit that I might walk with you in the fullness of life you desire for me. Amen and So Be It. Jonah 2:2 Jonah 2:2 KJV
2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the Lord , and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.
