So Be It / Day 8

So Be It

Day 8 of 50

Simply defined, mercy is not getting what we do deserve. Our sins have positioned us against a holy God, leaving us to reap an eternity apart from him. However, in His mercy, God became present to mankind through his son, Jesus Christ, who died for all of our sins. It’s in accepting this gift that we discover a life of new mercies every day! We are reminded with every sunrise that God has a fresh start in store for us.

God, I am sorry for choosing my own way, but I am so grateful for your mercy. God, forgive me for all the things I have done that have distanced myself from you - all the behaviors, attitudes, words and actions that go against what you want for my life. Thank you for the work Jesus did on the cross for me. I receive it. I also receive his resurrection power in my life to live fully in all the new days you have for me. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen and So Be It. Luke 18:13 Lamentations 3:23

Luke 18:13 KJV

13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

Lamentations 3:23 KJV

23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
