So Be It / Day 32

So Be It

Day 32 of 50

If you knew God’s will specifically, would you be willing to obey? This is an important question when you discover how many people go around asking, “What is God’s will for my life?” Here it is, “pray continually.” This is great news for those of us with an “Extreme Multi-tasking Mind.” (Besides, it sounds so much more professional than Attention Deficit Disorder.)

In contrast to some who can make prayer a hobby, other minds drift towards warm days at the beach. Here’s a way to increase the sum total of your prayer life – pray throughout your entire day. Today, talk to God as you go, but remember to create some margin in your life in order to quiet yourself to listen to His still, small voice. At the end of your day, you will be delighted to discover you have connected to God throughout your coming and going.

Heavenly Father, I praise you as the God who pays attention to me, your child. You alone are worthy of my full devotion. I lift up the details of my life to you as I seek to honor your Word and to be aware of your presence throughout my day. Guide me, through your Holy Spirit, as we walk and talk our way through this new day. I ask this in the name of Jesus, So Be It. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 KJV

16 Rejoice evermore.

17 Pray without ceasing.

18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
