So Be It / Day 46

So Be It

Day 46 of 50

The word “confess” literally means “say the same thing.” That is, if we will agree with God and say the same thing He does about our sins, His character is such that He will pardon and cleanse us in our deep selves. What does God say about our sins? They are killing us and need to be transferred to Jesus, "the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world.”

Gracious God, I agree with you now that my sins are not in keeping with your best for my life. In fact, they are killing me spiritually, emotionally, relationally and sometimes even physically. Please forgive me. I give my sins to you and thank you for transferring them from me to Jesus, who died in my place and rose for my cleansing. Purify me now by the power of your Spirit and in keeping with your Word. Thank you, Lord! In Jesus' name I pray, Amen and So Be It. 1 John 1:9

1 John 1:9 KJV

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
