Called To Love

Day 17 of 21 Believers - Living faith-filled lives There are two things here that Jesus identifies as qualities of a believer. One is to believe that Jesus is in fact the Messiah; the savior of the world who God has sent to free humanity from sin. The second is obedience to Jesus’ teaching. In today's world you find that it can easily be misconstrued that one without the other is “good enough.” There are plenty who “believe” but don’t completely surrender their actions to be in accordance with Jesus’ teaching. They’re not intentionally living like Jesus, but if they truly believed, it would naturally show in loving actions and internal transformation. Sometimes people do the opposite, live out all the actions and on the surface seem to be living such a generous life but internally do not accept Jesus as from God, as their personal savior. It is only through believing and living out that belief that salvation comes and our lives can be lived to its fullest. Prayer - • God, help your church be filled with true believers who live their faith and let their faith lead their lives • Even when I fail, help me receive your grace to continue trying to live the life of a true believer Thanksgiving - • Thank you, Jesus, for allowing us to be believers • Thank you for filling our lives with purpose and direction that we may love like you and enjoy life to its fullest John 17:6-8 John 17:6-8 NKJV 6 “I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.  7 Now they have known that all things which You have given Me are from You.  8 For I have given to them the words which You have given Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me.
