NKJV 365 / Peace

NKJV 365 Day Reading Plan

Day 280 of 365

Peace

My mother has often said, "You're either in a storm, coming out of the storm, or headed for another storm." Those words have helped me to prepare for life's unexpected deluges.
In north Georgia where my family and I live, the landscape displays tall Georgia pine trees. While the stately tree is beautiful, during even the mildest storm our yards and streets are littered with tree limbs.
The landscape in south Georgia is different, though. Along the balmy coast stands the stately palm tree. This tree is not the least bit moved by the threat of strong winds. You see, the palm tree's trunk and deep root system allow it to bend, but not break. It possesses great resistance and resilience, even in the fiercest storm.
When the Word of God is in you, you don't have to worry about life's storms. You can even lie down at night and rest peacefully, knowing that God is in control. Your heavenly Father will be up all night so you, my friend, might as well get some sleep.
