Walking Through the Valley of the Shadow by Adrian Rogers

MARCH 2
Walking Through the Valley of the Shadow
"For thou hast delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling." - Psalm 116:8
A minister spends a lot of time visiting hospitals and going to funerals. I've been with those who are dying and those who are facing heartaches. I’ve watched those who know the Lord Jesus Christ, and I’ve seen a difference in those who know Christ and those who don’t.
I spent some time in the hospital with a man who in just a few hours would step over on the other side. I held his hand. We prayed. I asked, "Is everything right with the Lord?" He said, "Pastor, everything is right. I'm ready. For me to live is Christ and for me to die is gain."
He had the assurance of one who knew God would “never, no never” leave nor forsake him. (Hebrews 13:5)
What would it take for you to have that assurance? Do you have it now? Then thank God for it. If you don’t, have you given your heart fully to the Lord Jesus Christ? “F-A-I-T-H” means Forsaking All, I Trust Him.” Trust Him fully today and He will come to dwell within.
