SEED OF TRUTH
Read Ephesians 2:11-16.
Look again at verse 12. What words does Paul use to describe our position before Christ? But what does Paul say in verse 13 that has changed all that?
PLANT THE SEED
Quietly recite today's focus verse to yourself. Hide it in your heart and meditate on it throughout the day.
Ephesians 2:13
“Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called "Uncircumcision" by the so-called "Circumcision," which is performed in the flesh by human hands- remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity.”

WATER THE SEED
In 1 Peter 2:10 we are told, "Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy." So often we find ourselves feeling as though we are unable to draw as near to the Lord as we would like. There seems to be a wall or a chasm. As you meditate on your scripture today, focus on the truth that the Lord has brought you near, the curtain has been torn in two, and you are able to enter into His throne room at anytime. Make the most of your day today by reciting this scripture over and over and choosing to believe what it says instead of how you feel.
BEAR THE FRUIT
Brought near by the blood of Christ.
CLOSE IN PRAYER
Ask the Lord to bring to life all that has been planted in your heart today.
