BEST INVESTMENT

At age 11, John Wanamaker bought a Bible. In later years he said, "I have made many large purchases in my time involving millions of dollars. But the purchase of that Bible was my greatest buy. I paid for it in small installments. Looking back over my life, I see that little book was the foundation on which my life has been built, and the thing that has made possible all that has counted in my life."

In prayer we speak to God, and through His Word He speaks to us. His Word is ever piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

James called the Word a mirror. In it, we see ourselves and also what we can be in Christ. By reading the pages of the Holy Writ, we grow up into Christ in all things. The sincere believer will make God's Word part of his daily diet.

“For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭NLT‬‬
