The most faithful Person you could enlist to pray for you is the One who is already doing so. And His prayers for you started nearly two thousand years ago. On the night of His arrest and trial, Jesus prayed what is now called “The High Priestly Prayer” (John 17). In part, this longest recorded prayer of Jesus is called “High Priestly” because of His intercessory prayers for those who come to believe in Him. He prayed that God would protect them—that is, us—from the power of the devil who was bound to attack. And He continues to pray even today, “since He always lives to make intercession for [us]” (Hebrews 7:25).
Be assured—you are being prayed for today by your High Priest and Intercessor, Jesus Christ.
Before the throne of God above, I have a strong, a perfect plea, a great High Priest, whose name is Love, who ever lives and pleads for me. Charitie Lees Bancroft
