Your Words Are Heard by David Jeremiah

Your Words Are Heard

Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words.
Daniel 10:12

During riots in Philadelphia last year, a Vietnamese church was set afire. Pastor Phillip Pham cried out, “God, please protect the hard drives.” The hard drives contained years of immigration paperwork, tax filings, and marriage documents. The church has a ministry of helping local residents with immigration matters. Arriving at the church, Pastor Pham saw the routers and modems destroyed, but the hard drives were untouched.

Daniel 10: 1 – 14

Prayer is one of our greatest mysteries. We don’t fully understand its power, nor do we know why God values our prayers so deeply. We’re often unaware of the spiritual battles waged in the heavenly places because of our prayers, though we get a hint of the struggle in Daniel 10. But there’s no question about this—God hears our prayers and encourages us to pray to Him about everything.

The majority of us have very strong faith in Christ, but a minority, a few new believers, they need their faith to grow. Pray for their faith to take deep root in the love of God so they can be steadfast in Him—not focus on the problem, but focus on Jesus.
Phillip Pham
