June 21 / NKJV 365

We all have lapses of faith. Maybe we start something in faith and then bail. Unfortunately, the situation is not at all unusual. So what should you do when you have a lapse of faith? Call out to Jesus. Too many of us doubt our beliefs and believe our doubts. Don’t doubt in the dark what you have believed in the light! Some have criticized Peter’s failure, but note that Jesus indeed told him to come (v. 29). And Peter is the only apostle ever to walk on water! Have you ever tried to do something for God and failed? If so, I want to say to you, “Thank you for trying!” I would rather try and fail than never try at all. Sometimes we learn crucial lessons through so-called “failure” that set us up for success later on. The doorway to success often comes through the hallway of failure.

“But seeing the wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, “Lord, save me!””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭14:30‬
