The home can be a sanctuary of peace or it can be a bedlam of confusion.
As a parent, your job is to teach your children by precept and example to be good members of the household, good citizens of the community, good members of the church and followers of Jesus Christ.
It takes time, patience, resourcefulness and skill to set your house in order, but God has said that it is an essential we cannot shun.
“You shall teach [my words] diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up” (Deuteronomy 6:7).
Heavenly Father, as students return to school, help parents, grandparents, teachers, coaches and administrators remain true to Your Word as they lovingly and compassionately teach the next generation. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
