Putting Holes in the Darkness By Anne Graham Lotz The Prophet Daniel lived during a time of great darkness in the nation of Judah. After the Babylonians destroyed everything in a series of ruthless campaigns, Daniel was seized and marched 800 miles east—never to return. But rather than despair, the young man remained faithful in prayer and devotion to God. When I become discouraged because of the turmoil and moral decay in our world, Daniel’s legacy reminds me that I can still choose to be true to my Biblical convictions. TODAY’S PRAYER Heavenly Father, like the psalmist declares, “Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Help me faithfully obey Your commands. May You be glorified in everything I say and do. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
