The Prophet Daniel lived during a time of great darkness in the nation of Judah.
After the Babylonians destroyed everything in a series of ruthless campaigns, Daniel was seized and marched 800 miles east—never to return. But rather than despair, the young man remained faithful in prayer and devotion to God.
When I become discouraged because of the turmoil and moral decay in our world, Daniel’s legacy reminds me that I can still choose to be true to my Biblical convictions.
By remaining committed to the Truth, you too can push back the darkness with the Light of Christ.
“As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world”(John 9:5).
Heavenly Father, like the psalmist declares, “Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Help me faithfully obey Your commands. May You be glorified in everything I say and do. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
