An Attitude of Gratitude By Greg Laurie As Christians, every day should be Thanksgiving. Psalms 118:1 tells us: “Oh, give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” To give thanks sincerely, you must realize that God is in control of your life. Sometimes we understand this reasonably simple concept. Sometimes we are entirely mystified by it. It doesn’t matter how many plans and good ideas we may have, Proverbs 16:9 tells us that the Lord determines our path. We must maintain an eternal perspective. God is on the throne. He is in control of the good things that happen to us, and He remains in control when bad things occur. TODAY’S PRAYER God, You set the earth on its foundations, and it can never be removed. You forgive our sins, you heal our diseases, and you fill us with love and compassion. Your praise will ever be on our lips. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
