December 8 / NKJV 365

Why was David’s heart glad, rejoicing, and full of hope? First, God forgave him. His war with God had ended and the Lord looked upon him with favor. Second, He gave David free admission into His presence. Even when he felt squeezed by the pressures of life, he trusted that his heavenly Father had a purpose and a plan for him. Last, God not only took care of his past, wiping clean his slate, but He also made provision for his present and future. He promised to keep and protect David and ultimately would have him join Him for all eternity.
