The Final Frontier For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 1 Corinthians 15:52   Space travel is available now for anyone willing or able to buy a ticket. One space travel website called it: “The most breathtaking six hours of your life. To gaze upon Earth from space—to take in the astounding views and vivid colors—is an unforgettable spectacle that astronauts call life-altering.”[1]

Jesus has something even better for His children. The Bible says, “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the air” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). In that moment, we’ll be weightless, flying upward at the speed of light, unafraid, exhilarated, instantly glorified and made imperishable; and there will be no danger of a crash landing. Instead, we’ll meet the Lord in the air with imperishable bodies, and all of eternity to enjoy them.
