Are You Willing to Wait on God?
Sermon: 1437 You’re Never a Failure until You Quit, Part 2

“Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!”
Ponder This
Patience is necessary for maturity. It is necessary for victory. It is necessary for prosperity. You can’t hurry the harvest. If you want prosperity, you need to have patience. Galatians 6:9 says, “In due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” What is the law of the harvest? You reap what you sow. And you always reap later than you sow. The reason many of us don’t reap is we don’t wait. Patience and endurance are necessary.
When I was a little boy, sometimes we used to run up and ring somebody’s doorbell and run away before anyone could answer. Did you ever do that? We do that sometimes with the Lord. And the Bible says over and over, “Wait on the Lord.” Delays are not denials. If you want God to answer your prayer, you have to learn to wait on the Lord. You ask, “Why doesn’t God answer right away?” Simple! He wants you to grow. It’s His way of ripening you.

Write down the different things you are waiting on God for. Pray and give those things over to God.
